It would be the equivalent of picking up an item but dropping it before it gets added to your bags. When the bug occurs it could be such that it correctly executes the first function, but since the item is never added to your inventory, the second function is never added. This function takes the 'item ID' from the item just added to your inventory and based on a preset database it 'checkmarks' that item in your collection. It then passes this item to your inventory, and the addition of that item to your inventory triggers another function.Ģ.

This function removes the item from the game so you can't pick it up again. You pick up a thing and that executes a function. I get the feeling a retroactive patch will be hard to apply.

Will be doing another replay of the Mission of San Juan and see if I end up at the same limit or not. I can't really figure it out at this point. My first theory was that it was simply all the outfits taking up 'slots' for the complete count, but that doesn't come close to making up the difference. I also wasn't able to get one of the outfits and had an issue with a weapon accessory which didn't show as bought even though it was.įor my second playthrough, I have many more uncollected. Those are all the final 8 items I went to get, some of them from the main story obviously. In my first playthrough I had precisely these 8 artifacts missing from my collection:

I have isolated this issue to (for myself) being limited to a certain amount of collectibles. You should be able to find everything, even if when you pick it up it doesn't register as having been collected. i also still need to made a Video of the everything after San Juan because i didn't record it on DO last time because the bug hit me there. Soo and now it's time to remove that BD and then starting another Game, next will most probably be Prey. They will probably patch it, but you know the first impression already got ruined for many and you can't fix a messed up first impression and also it's not even sure if they can patch it to pop retroactively, so who knows perhaps many will have to repeat even if patched. So yeah it's possible with Croft Edition, but it's pain in the ass to re-collect everything if you didn't know about the issue, especially if you start in DO and do everything and then get punished because you did everything. I also the first time got the Nahual Mask and the Manko Vest and the Nahual animation was different, as it was glitched she didn't even took the mask, but this time she did.īut yeah it still took ~25 hours on Normal and the DO run still got ruined, so the initial happyness definitely got ruined and nothing can ever heal that.Īlso if someone wants to now, you finish all artefacts collections but 4 (Path of the Stars, Myth, Magic & Monsters, The Resistance, Laras Notebook) in San Juan and coming back to paititi and done the champions bow quest there are two unfinished (The Resistance and Laras Notebook) after starting final story there is only (Laras Notebook) which will get finished in the Ix Chel scene.īefore starting the final story the World Percentage is 92% if all is done. Didn't purchase any munition bags (but i'm not sure if this is needed, simply didn't want to risk) Did purchase the Lockpicks along with the Rope Ascender Completely ignored the Merchant at San Juan Note that if you have a Standard version of the game you should be able to buy all the outfits and weapons and still manage a 100% playthrough (on your first time through - note that NG+ weapons and outfits are still likely to cause the bug).Īlright, finally got the completionist with Croft Edition to pop on Xbox One X !!! NeXuS23 did his/her run and confirmed it (see below). It was just a matter of confirming whether it was possible with the Croft preorder to get Completionist by not buying any of those extras. For me, I missed artifacts from 6 different collections (several from some).Īfter many different discussions and my own testing we came to the conclusion that artifacts share inventory space with weapons/outfits/accessories (unsure exactly what, but it was clear that the more you had bought prior to collecting everything, the less likely you were to get Completionist - this included the extra outfits/weapons you got in NG+). When you finish the game you'll have a 100% collection rate on every map but you'll miss artifacts and so your total completion percentage will be something like 98-99%. For those who don't know what the bug entails it basically means you pick up an artifact but it doesn't get added to your collection.
